Abstract:
Author analizes voting leaflets of candidates for councillors, mayors and presidents in sellfgovermental elections in 2006 willing to achieve mandates in Lodz, Zgierz, Aleksandrow Lodzki, Konstantynow and Turek in Greater Poland Voivodeship. There was an analysis of exactly 202 leaflets of candidates standing for elections to the city council, 22 leaflets of candidates for mayors and presidents, indicated by 7 state and 49 local election committees. Author introduced voting hypothesis concerning: citizen’s participation in voting, differences in programmes and autopresentation (both verbal and graphicall). As a results he concludes that the main factor in the whole turnout and choosing candidates aspect was the placement of candidates on the electoral lists. The influence of other factors such as differences in programme declarations and autopresentation of candidates standing for mandates in local selfgoverments.
